Newbury U.C.C. Youth Group Sponsors Par for Pets

The Youth Group successfully raised a total of $775.00 for the Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village. The money was split in Rescue Village in Donations, Cage Sponsorships and the S.A.V.E. fund for animals with medical emergencies.

Rescue Village joined us with three wonderful pooches and provided tee signs for all 18 holes of animals in need of loving homes.

We also had burgers, dogs and bottled water thanks to contributions from church members. Cornhole was set up to pass the time and for those not interested in playing disc golf. Face Painting and Tattoos were also available for the kids! A mini-disc throw game was also setup to win tickets for the Two Person One Night Stay at Punderson State Park donated by the Manor House (Xanterra).

The players all had a great time and prizes were awarded. A big thanks to Blazin Bills, Zeppe’s of Newbury, Burton Family Grill, The Improv Comedy Club, The Cowboy, Chagrin Cinemas, Dairy Queen Middlefield, Tom Mote of Friends of Punderson Disc Golf League and Kathy Loraine for donating prizes. Thanks to a sponsorship made by Junction Auto, Innova Disc Golf, and the plant sale during at the craft and clutter sale, we were able to get custom event-stamped discs for our family/scramble round! We still have a few custom event stamped discs for sale if anyone is interested, they are $10.00/each and all proceeds will be donated to Rescue Village.
