Pun’s Labyrinth IX Disc Golf Tournament 2020

Pun’s Labyrinth is officially back for 2020 with the original 18 Hole layout! Don’t forget to mark your calendars or set an alarm – this event typically sells out within 3 Hours or LESS!

You may make your own reservations with the park to camp, get a cabin for you and your best buds/caddies, or get a room at the Manor – the SOONER you make a reservation the better, the park will FILL UP in July! Open and all Adv. Divisions — Red tees to long baskets (with Island), Par 59
Int. and Rec. Divisions – Red tees to long baskets, Par 58 (no Island)

ROUND #2

MPO, MP40, MA1, and MA40 Divisions – Blue tees to long baskets (with Island), Par 70 (+ platform)
All other open and adv. – Blue to long baskets (with Island), Par 70 (no platform)

Int. and Rec. Divisions – White tees to long baskets, Par 61 (no Island)

ROUND #3

Pun’s Labyrinth VI – July 22-23, 2017

Registration has gone live for Pun’s Labyrinth VI – our sixth year running this event.

However as some noticed there are some changes this year:

  • PDGA B-Tier Event (Previously a C-Tier)
  • Field is Open to more players
  • Format will be different from previous years
  • Pre-Tournament Friday Blowfly Doubles Round (for those in town early)
  • Island Hootenanny (on the island) with live music by EBDB Saturday evening
  • Mid-Tournament Saturday Night Singles Glow Round
  • Island is now in play with a basket on the island & a platform tee from the island
  • 27 hole course layout in the works (final formats to be determined)

We are still early in the year with lots of time before the event. We are hoping the change from a C to a B Tier will help us bring in some more players and open up the event so nobody who wants to play will miss out this year. Each year the bar is raised a little and we have raised it again in hopes of taking the event in another step in the right direction.

Lots of course improvements were made in 2016 and we are hoping the State Park manages to find the time to make a few improvements as well:

  • Island bridge was installed (thanks to donors & volunteers)
  • More benches were built and installed (thanks to donors & volunteers)
  • Island platform / tee pad constructed & installed (thanks to donors & volunteers)
  • Plans to expand the course were established with the park
  • The state is to install restrooms at the course, hopefully before the tourney
  • The state is aware of the need for a larger parking lot

Events like this are made possible by donations and volunteers working with the Ohio State Park system through the Friends of Punderson State Park non-profit organization. Below is a video of a drive off of the platform tee on the island:
